After severe thunderstorms and tornadoes damaged parts of the southern Plains over the weekend, another round of devastating tornadoes is on the way for Tuesday. AccuWeather.com Meteorologists are forecasting that there will be at least 50 tornado reports on Tuesday, many of them across the eastern half of Oklahoma and eastern Kansas.

Newly formed Tropical Storm 04W may pose threats for both the northern Philippines and eventually Japan. As of Friday morning, EDT, the center of Tropical Storm 04W (which had yet to be given a name) was located approximately 200 miles east-southeast of the small island of Yap.

At least 56 people have died in northern India in the aftermath of powerful thunderstorms late Wednesday evening, local time. Times of India, citing All India Radio, described the deadly weather as “severe duststorm, accompanied by rain and thundershowers.”
